Dear Diary,
Sorry I missed last week’s entry. We were off on an adventure:

Getting outdoors has been my salvation lately, and I’m grateful to live somewhere so beautiful. When I’m out in nature, I feel God thinking about me.
Sometimes, I wonder if He finds the learning process warmly humorous. My little girl has reached the why stage.
Why is it called a T-shirt when there is no letter “T”?
Why do ants live underground?
Why does it rain?
Her curiosity makes me smile, and it’s fun to see if I am up to the challenge. My kids are so smart, and my heart swells to see them grow. It’s definitely bittersweet 🙂
On another humorous note, my therapist suggested I take a break from “self-development” – hahaha! (In other words, anything I do for me-time). I haven’t listened to any of my favorite podcasts or kept up with my social media accounts for a couple of weeks. But it was a refreshing break.
Instead, I attempted to figure out what else I enjoy doing! I read a few romance novels, learned how to crochet a new granny square, and (of course) binge-watched the new Star Trek: Picard series, which I highly recommend.
Here’s to learning new things about ourselves!
❤ Jenny
P.S.- What do you like to do for fun? Any recommendations??
The WHY stage is fun 🙂

lol. I love it! Those all sound like fun things to do. Looks like you had a fun adventure too.
Right now we’re watching “Bless This Mess” and “The Goldbergs” on Hulu.
Cooking can be a fun hobby. We have been experimenting with ramen and just discovered the magic of miso paste.
This week, I ordered “Home Body” by Joanna Gains to learn about interior design.
We have been trying out drawing lessons in “Drawing With Children” by Mona Brooks.
Happy hobby hunting!

Futurama. Leela’s father said it. Leela’s parents are mutants who live in the sewers of New New York among other mutants with body parts in the wrong places.

Things we still can do, is a blog I wrote on a lot of things we can do. We just have to get creative sometimes. God bless.

Those are certainly great questions from your niñas, Jenny😉
I’m thinking what I do for fun and cannot come up with an answer. I have read Christian romance novels in the past, watched movies/shows….okay, I got it lol, lately I’ve been watching vlogs. Whew! Thought I was out of touch with fun 😂

Oh the why stage! My son is at that stage too. He said to me the other day “Mummy you’re not a supermum because you don’t know everything.” And I was happy to admit that no I am not a supermum, just a regular mum.

They are nothing if not forthright, that’s for sure! I try to teach my kids that, too, though. Even mommies make mistakes ❤️

For fun, I love to bicycle, walk with and without my dog, and sewing. Take care, Jenny!💚

Being out in nature always makes me feel closer to God. Even if it’s just my own backyard!
I remember the days of the “why” questions. They could get annoying at the time, but now I sure miss them! 🙂
I’ve been trying to listen to more audiobooks while cleaning and I’m finding that I’m actually enjoying it! I also love to crochet when I get a minute to myself.

Smiles. The why stage can be a handful of questioning but fun too. I love that you all are having a great time and it’s been fun. 🤗
How has the break from your usual activities been like for you? 🙂

We’ve finally started to find our new normal, and I’m enjoying all of the time together. You are right about the why stage being a handful though 😂 I am working on my patience. How have you been through all of this, Ms. Herry? ❤️

reaching the why stage is really dangerous this as that time they keep on asking so many things that even you don’t know the answers to many of their why’s!
Although u said right their curiosity makes us happy and we need to satisfy it as soon as possible.

Haha yes! I often answer my kids’ questions with “I don’t know” or “good question”. It’s an opportunity to teach them how to learn for themselves and that it’s okay if we don’t know the answer to some things.

The why phase is cute to a point, until your head starts to implode. I remember it, and they do learn from it. One thing I remember the most is they remember what you said, so you cannot lie. Enjoy it, it only comes around once per kid. Thanks for the post.
