Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.

How can I build more resilience?
Oxford defines resilience as “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties”. I like to think of it as bouncing back.
But, how can we be sure of our response until adversity actually strikes? Can we?
The answer isn’t cut and dry, but, yesterday, I meant it when I said consistency coupled with purpose builds resilience.
The more we keep trying (consistency), the less afraid we are of “failing”, and the more we challenge ourselves!
We get to practice our response to doing hard things.
That’s pretty powerful all on its own.
Purpose takes it one step further. It’s putting that consistent effort toward the things that matter most to you.
For me, that means building a life filled with meaning, even as I experience loss.
What does resilience look like to you?
