Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.
You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!
What am I thankful for?
That’s right, folks. In honor of Thanksgiving here in the U.S., it’s time to get a little cliché.
But, before we do, I wanted to say, it’s okay.
It’s okay to have a hard time feeling gratitude right now.
It’s okay if yours isn’t the traditional “thankful for my spouse and kids and house” list.
It’s okay to feel sad and hurt and lonely and angry and broken.
Gratitude is a choice, yes, but sometimes it’s a both/and approach.
This year has been a challenge in many ways. And I’m grateful for the way I’ve seen people pull together.
I’m struggling with my health right now. And I’m grateful for all that my body can do. And I’m grateful to have the access to food that I have.
I have questions. And I’m grateful for my faith.
It’s all okay.
Give yourself permission to feel it all, and allow room for the healing that gratitude can bring.
What are you grateful for today?
❤ Jenny
I’m thankful for all the support I’ve received since starting my blog/website. It’s more than I had expected. I’m thankful God has blessed me with the ability to communicate through writing.
