Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.
You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!
What things does my future self do?
So, you’ve taken stock of the small daily habits you currently practice. Now, let’s take it one step further.
What small, daily habits does your future self practice?
This is something I learned from @iambrookesnow not too long ago (Podcast Episode # 76). The idea being, don’t just set future goals and leave them there.
Think about who you want your future self to be, yes. But, more than that, what small consistent actions does your future self take each day?
Because – and here’s the best part – I can feel better and be that version of myself right now. All it takes is the courage to start.
For example:
My future self is inentional, aligned, adventurous, active, compassionate, and always learning something new.
What small daily practices does she use to incorporate these values into her life?
She meditates or reflects every day.
I can do that!
She gets out of her comfort zone regularly.
I can do that!
She moves her body every day, even if it’s something small.
I can do that!
She looks for ways to serve her family and neighbors and never suppresses a generous thought.
I can do that!
She reads from a good book each night.
I can do that!
This is how I set my goals, and it’s been a huge mindset shift for me. You see, it was never about overnight success, or waiting for the right moment to bid on perfection. Small wins, compounded overtime make all the difference.
❤ Jenny
I agree! Small changes that are well executed and achieved over time are more likely to be successful than grand sweeping changes done hastily.

So well said…. As I have gotten older I realise that I have grown a lot, but nothing happened overnight. I still am learning even at my age. I love you missing thanks for who you are and being the best daughter ever❤

My future self eats healthy, exercises, is organized, cleans the house every day, writes something every day, and reads every day. He is always learning something new.

Those are such great ones, Brandon! My goal has been to write every day , too. That’s part of why I started this journal prompt segment. I love that about learning, too! Keep it up!
