Each day, laptop and children permitting, Iโll share a prompt thatโs been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.
You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!
What are some ways that I feel and show love?
That’s right! We’re talking love languages today.
In other words, what are your favorite ways to feel and show love?
When you reflect on the kind of unconditional love we’ve discussed, and the people you can always count on, are there specific moments or acts of kindness that stand out to you?
I’m huge on snuggles and hugs, and cookies, too ๐. And, of course, quality time is a must.
Another big thing for me, is grace:
- Giving each other, and ourselves, the benefit of the doubt.
- Seeing potential.
- Feeling compassion, and trusting in God’s plan, rather than trying to be the judge.
Once in a while, this topic comes with a great big “BUT”. Grace is great, BUT…
Only, in my own life, grace requires more emphasis, not less. Does that mean I believe grace is more important than boundaries or growth, or actions and impact, or staying the course?
Not necessarily.
The truth is, grace enables everything else. When we emphasize grace, the other things follow – in a much more sustainable fashion at that.
What do you think? Is there a balance between enabling grace and tough love?
What are some other ways you feel and show love?

Listening to someone, giving them undivided attention. Showing them that whatever they are saying is more important than whatever I have going on. For an intimate partner, I like to be close to them physically, and spend time together.
