Weee’rre Back!
Welcome to Season 3 of the Podcast, starting with this special bonus episode about running and crewing 100-mile race in the middle of a pandemic.
We chat about:
- gear
- food
- training
- possible obstacles
- the day of
- and more!
And, of course, we tie everything back to our favorite topics: progress, purpose, and re-defining your relationship with failure.
Takeaways:
- Never underestimate the power of a sunrise (literally and figuratively).
- Not succeeding is part of life, but whether or not we fail is up to us.
- No man is an island. There are amazing, good people out there. Let them help, and be that kind of person.
- Don’t be discouraged. The race is not over! Get up and try again.
We’re unscripted again, but if I had to choose a one-liner and a journal prompt they would be:
One-Liner:

Journal Prompt: What failures are you going to learn from and who are you going to lean on this year?
If we missed anything, or if you have any questions about ultra-running, we’d love to answer them below ππΎππΎ.
Spread love!

I’m not sure yet what I’m going to learn from, but I’m going to lean on God and spend more time in prayer and Scripture…

I love that! I heard once that reading the scriptures is like spending time with Jesus. I can feel it when I need more of that in my life. You are a great example to me, friend.

Yes! I know people who use that exact phrase, spending time with Jesus.

A new year with many things learnt from the last. This year Iβm going back to studies. I’m not going to placed the same pressures to excel and not going to be a perfectionist with how I learn. I’m going to utilise the support services around me to help balance my commitments with life. Hopefully there aren’t any harsh lockdowns that will screw with plans.

I hope the same for you! I couldn’t believe what your lockdowns were like. That would be so hard. I’m excited for you to go back to studies! Brave and amazing! Can’t wait to see what 2021 has in store for you, Kathy π
