100 Days of Journal Prompts: Day 54

Each day, laptop and children permitting, I’ll share a prompt that’s been on my mind, and a few of my thoughts.

You are welcome to share your own perspective in the comments, or just journal it out!

How would I spend my last day on Earth?

Now that we’ve described a typical day, how about your dream day? – no health, financial, travel, or other limitations.

But, I’m going to take it one step further and add that it’s your last day on Earth.

What would you do?

Joe and I have been working on our estate planning, and I’ve thought a lot about the what ifs. I’m starting to realize all the things I want to do can’t actually fit into one day.

I want to save memories for my kids. I’m grateful for these little journal prompts that help me do just that. I have a couple of journals I’m working on for the kids, too. I’m actually not a big journal person πŸ˜‚, but I can do a little at a time.

I want to spend quality time together, and I’ve thought a lot about what that means. Last night, Joe and I played games together instead of watching the traditional kids-finally-went-to-bed show. It was so nice!

I’d love to be outside, and see something beautiful together. I don’t always do well with strenuous activity, but Samoa, Havasupai Falls, and The Narrows come to mind.

I would want my family to know my values. One of the biggest blessings of this podcast/blog is getting to leave some of those thoughts behind, but, especially, I hope that others can see my values in the way that I live.

Your turn! What would you try to fit in?

  1. I would first make sure that my two cats would be going to a good home. Then I would probably clean my house (I wouldn’t want to leave it for someone else to do). I’d write down all of my login and password information and leave it out where it would be easily accessible. I would then write out how I would want my funeral conducted. Then, a final blog post and spend the rest of the day with people I love.
